Yardstick Tools (yardstick.tools) is a collection of free, in-browser calculators operated by Pilot Projects (pilotprojects.dev). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, the only remedy is the obvious one: close the tab.
ESTIMATES, NOT ADVICE
Every number the tools produce is arithmetic on figures you supplied, spread evenly over time. The tools deliberately ignore taxes, seasonality, working hours, invoicing lag, and everything else an accountant would care about. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and no output should be relied on for any decision with real consequences. For that, use a professional, not a stopwatch.
USE OF THE SERVICE
You may use the tools for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, misrepresent its outputs as ours when altered, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law. That is the whole list — there are no accounts to suspend anyway.
NO WARRANTY
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. Clocks tick, software has bugs, and free tools come with no promises.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pilot Projects is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including lost profits, lost data, or decisions made on the basis of a ticking number — arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to use Yardstick Tools, which is zero.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Yardstick Tools name, design, and content are owned by Pilot Projects. Result cards and screenshots produced by the tools are yours to share wherever you like — that is the point of them.
